I don't know about anyone else but don't you think the council have cocked up with this recycling lark? Yeah great for the Bin men but How are you expected to recycle when they never leave the right bags ect..I have phoned them on numerous occasions to request bags and boxes but still I'm waiting. 0845 number so they are actually making money from my calls...NOT happy!

I'n many ways I'm 'lucky' being disabled I get what they call an 'Assisted Collection' meaning I don't have to struggle out to the pavement just to save the Sita operatives a walk! However, they have now taken all the recycling containers they initially left. Meaning I now have plastic bags either inside or outside my flat to fall over! But speaking of falling over, have you seen the state the pavements are in on collection day!?

I did mean it as a joke months ago, but my comment that 'Sita' are a foreign owned firm so the 'h' in the name is pronounced silently appears oh so true!

A few weeks ago, they left the food bin one week. By the next Friday the contents had started to ferment! (There was a fair amount of fruit refuse in it.) I know one or two in Tod I could have sold it to, a nice little earner.

Well I've still never had a collection, been here since May now, been in several times to complain, they delivered a black bin then took it away next day, that was about it. Given up now do all the recycling myself and take the rubbish to the dump!

According to the Courier, Kerbside may have one won little battle against Sita. But what about the war??:
quote:
Kerbside wins battle with Sita

RECYCLING minnow Kerbside Calderdale has won a David and Goliath battle with waste giant Sita over unpaid bills.
Sita sent the not-for-profit organisation a demand for £1,553.65 in March for training staff they were hoping to recruit.

But Kerbside said it had never asked to take part in the day-long event and put in a counter claim for money they said Sita owed them for lost working hours.

This week, Sita buckled and sent a cheque for £1,024.31 to Kerbside in a bid to settle the long-running dispute.
